University to screen 'The Hunting Ground' documentary tonight for Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention month

As part of Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention month, SFA will be screening the documentary “The Hunting Ground” followed by a panel discussion at 6 p.m. tonight in the Baker Pattillo Student Center Theater. The event is free and everyone is encouraged to attend.

"The Hunting Ground" highlights a number of issues associated with sexual assault on college campuses and makes a call to action for everyone to get involved in eliminating the problem of sexual violence on campus. The panel will include members from student affairs, Greek life, athletics and the University Police Department to address how reported sexual assault is handled at SFA and to answer questions.

Student Activities Association will provide free snacks from 5:30 to 6 p.m. and the Student Action Wellness Team will host a Sexual Assault Prevention trivia contest.
