SFA flag lowered in honor of deceased regent

The SFA flag on Vista Drive will be lowered to half-staff today in honor of SFA Regent Barry Nelson who passed away yesterday.

Nelson graduated from SFA in 1971 with a business degree and was president of Interra Partners, a Dallas-based commercial real estate development and investment firm.

In addition to serving as secretary for the board at SFA, Nelson served as chair of the Building and Grounds Committee. In that role, his expertise was invaluable to SFA during the planning stages for the new STEM Building. The SFA family will be forever indebted to him for his contributions to this important project.
