Early deficit, fourth-quarter miscues prove costly for Lumberjacks against Southeastern Louisiana University

After rallying from a 20-point hole late in the first half, SFA’s football team lined up for a potential game-tying field goal midway through the fourth quarter. A blocked kick return resulting in a touchdown for Southeastern Louisiana University began a fourth-quarter downpour as the Lumberjacks fell to the Lions 58-34 Saturday at Homer Bryce Stadium.

The loss is the third-straight for SFA, dropping to 3-4 on the year and 2-3 in Southland Conference play. The loss snaps a five-game home winning streak, dating back to 2015, as well as a two-game streak over SLU.
